Hours: 

Full-time, Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri standard; Wednesdays on a rotation

4:00 AM start time

variable ending times based on volume of sales orders (when work and paperwork is complete)

45 – 50 hours per week

 

Essential Job Functions 

• Coordinate the flow of work with our people working in the chick room 

• Keeping accurate inventory of chicks on the floor

• Fulfilling orders with the correct counts, flocks, and vaccination programs

• Mixing vaccine according to the needs of the birds

• Tracking flocks as they move through the process

• Completing hatchery paperwork pertaining to order fulfillment

• Marginal error in process; whether on paperwork or on vaccinations

• Maintaining a consistent, fast pace

Qualifications Needed

• Highly reliable

• Detail oriented

• An organized mind

• Can multi-task

• Good with numbers and balancing figures

• Can use basic Microsoft Excel

• Basic Computer skills

• Fluent in English

• Legible handwriting

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Pre-Employment Drug Testing

• Be an Ideal Team Player as defined in the book by Patrick Lencioni

Physical Requirements​

• Able to lift and carry 30lbs.

• Works in a warm, wet, dusty environment, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided.

• Works in proximity to loud machinery, PPE provided.
