Monday 4:45 AM start, 8 to 12 hour day

Tuesday 4:45 AM start, 8 to 12 hour day

Wednesday variable start, 4 to 10 hour day, possibly off-site (unloading crew)

Thursday 4:45 AM start, 7 to 10 hour day

Friday 4:45 AM start, 8 to 12 hour day

Saturday 3:45 AM start, 3 to 9 hour day alternating on rotation

Main Responsibilities:
An opportunity to learn multiple tasks involved in the hatchery production of broiler chicks. Mostly indoor work with occasional outdoor work.
​
This is a great opportunity if you have experience in farming or in production floor environments like manufacturing, assembly, or machine operation. In this position you will work with a 5-6 person team to transfer eggs from incubator machines to hatcher machines, and to vaccinate chick embryos with an Embrex machine. In this role, the team's performance is tied directly to your individual performance. Your teammates will depend upon you to keep pace in order to complete the work efficiently and to finish on-time as a team.

Repetitively lifting objects weighing 25-30 lbs from the floor to six feet above the floor

Pushing 1200 lb. racks safely

Ability to learn safety guidelines and follow them.

Ability to understand the overall flow of a process involving coworkers

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for the whole shift

Ability to work in various environments (cool, warm, dusty, wet)
-
Mostly indoor work with occasional outdoor work
-
Ability to work while standing, squatting, kneeling and sitting
-
Ability to learn SOPs and follow them while using practical judgement
-
Ability to learn safety guidelines and follow them
-
Able to do basic arithmetic

Other duties as assigned
