Hours:

Schedules are posted 2 weeks ahead of time.

​

At least 40 hours per week, generally with some overtime. Flexibility is required due to the nature of our business...

​

• Monday 4:45 AM start, 8 to 12 hour day

• Tuesday 4:45 AM start, 8 to 12 hour day

• Wednesday variable start, 4 to 10 hour day, possibly off-site (unloading crew)

• Thursday 4:45 AM start, 7 to 10 hour day

• Friday 4:45 AM start, 8 to 12 hour day

• Saturday 3:45 AM start, 3 to 9 hour day alternating on rotation

Main Responsibilities: 

• Perform multiple tasks involved in the hatchery production of broiler chicks

• Clean and sanitize equipment

• Keep pace to complete the work efficiently and to finish on-time as a team

• Other duties as assigned​

• Ability to work well both with others and independently

• Ability to learn and then perform the tasks involved in the hatchery production of broiler chicks

• Ability to learn safety guidelines and follow them.

• Ability to understand the overall flow of a process involving coworkers

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for the whole shift

• Ability to work in various environments (cool, warm, dusty, wet, noisy)

• Ability to work in proximity to loud machinery and chicks for prolonged periods

• Mostly indoor work with occasional outdoor work

• Ability to learn SOPs and follow them while using practical judgement

• Ability to learn safety guidelines and follow them

• Ability to do basic arithmetic

• Ability to work while standing, squatting, kneeling and sitting

• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements​

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.     

• Able to repetitively lift objects weighing 25-30 lbs. from the floor to six feet above the floor for prolonged periods

• Able to stand and walk on concrete floors for the whole shift

• Able to push 1200 lb. racks safely
