Red Dual-Purpose
We offer several crosses of slow-growing heritage breeds. These red feather chickens are valued for both their meat production or their egg laying ability.
These birds will typically begin laying eggs around 19 to 20 weeks of age and over the course of its life will average 3 to 5 eggs per week.
Because of the dual-purpose nature of this breed, it does have a propensity to put on added weight. Proper weight management is essential to maintain consistent egg size and overall laying performance.
